For one Windsor family, New Year’s Day will no longer just be about the end of one year and the start of another — it will also be a birthday celebration, too.
Jupiter James Timothy Chase-Evans made his grand entrance into the world at 1:01 a.m. on Wednesday as the first baby born at Windsor Regional Hospital in 2025.
Weighing in at nine pounds, six ounces, baby Jupiter is the third child of parents Marissa Chase and Brandan Evans, who also have a five-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter.

“It felt like it took forever, but dad says it went fast,” said Chase about her labour, adding that it was much shorter than what she endured for her two other children.
According to the hospital, the proud parents arrived at about 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Their son Jupiter only waited about an hour into the new year to join the world.
“The nurses are amazing,” Evans told the hospital, which shared the story in a news release Wednesday afternoon. “They’re very comforting.
“They make you laugh and joke during that hard time. They’re wonderful people here.”
The couple looks forward to introducing their new son to the rest of the Chase-Evans family.
“Brother and sister can’t wait,” Evans said. “It’s going to be great to have everyone at home, all comfortable and happy.”
Windsor Regional Hospital congratulated the parents on the birth of their son.
