Windsor police have charged a 38-year-old man in connection to a series of commercial thefts that occurred over a four-month period this year.
Law enforcement had received reports of thefts from multiple retail stores involving a male suspect matching the same description between May 11 and Aug. 17.
In all eight incidents, police said the suspect walked into the store, grabbed power tools, outdoor equipment, and other items, and exited without paying.

In a separate incident, police say the suspect was also caught on video surveillance using a stolen debit card and driving away in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
The Windsor Police Target Base Unit carried out the investigation.
According to Windsor police, officers arrested the suspect during a traffic stop in the 3600 block of Wyandotte Street East on Aug. 21.
The suspect is now facing multiple charges, including nine counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, use of a credit card obtained by crime, failure to comply with conditions of probation, and failure to comply with a release order.

Windsor police said the suspect had been released from custody last August with a condition that prohibited him from holding any debit or credit card not in his name.
In a separate conviction, police say the suspect was also issued a court order prohibiting him from having care or control of a motor vehicle.
