Better known as ‘The Viper’, Martin Foley has long been established as one of Ireland’s career criminals.
From debt collection to jewellery theft and even a suspected art heist, he has decades of crimes under his belt.
The Dubliner has even survived five assassination attempts.
Now aged in his 70s, Foley appeared before Wexford Circuit Criminal Court last week on a public order charge. He admitted threatening and abusive behaviour and has been given an unusual punishment in the form of a barring order from Wexford town for the period of 12 months.
