SEOUL — SK Hynix’s profit growth slowed in the fourth quarter from the previous three months as increased output from Chinese rivals weighed on the memory chip industry as a whole.
The South Korean chipmaker announced on Thursday that its operating profit increased 15% to 8.1 trillion won ($5.6 billion) in the fourth quarter from the three months before, down from a 29% rise in the third quarter. Revenue climbed 12.5% to 19.8 trillion won during the same period.
