The National Lottery has revealed that Saturday’s Lotto jackpot winning ticket worth €5.4m was sold at Carey’s, Main Street, Belmullet, Co Mayo.
Carey’s are no strangers to Lottery success after celebrating several big wins over the years, including one of Ireland’s largest Lotto jackpots of €13.8 million in 2016.
They also sold a winning Daily Million ticket worth €1 million in 2017 amongst other tickets which have each won thousands for Mayo players.
National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan said Saturday was “an extraordinary night for Mayo and Dublin players, with three incredible wins.”
The Mayo player becomes the 11th Lotto Jackpot winner of 2024, joining the ranks of ten other big winners from across the country, including Dublin (5), Limerick (2), Louth, Wexford, and most recently, Galway.
This latest win also makes the Mayo player the 35th National Lottery millionaire of 2024.
Their winning numbers were: 2, 4, 5, 10, 16, 17 and the bonus was 23.
The two other Dublin players who have received a Christmas boost this year claimed over €40,000 each.
One Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Friday, December 27, from Schiels Supermarket in Malahide, Co Dublin, while the other Quick Pick was bought on the day of the draw from Tesco Extra in Millfield Shopping Centre in Balbriggan, Co Dublin.
The players matched five numbers plus the bonus.
National Lottery officials will be at the Belmullet store on Monday afternoon to officially announce the newsagents and bookstore as the winning location.
