I am googling “how to make a music video”. It’s April and I’m in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of a year-long tour with Hozier. His management have just asked me to shoot a ‘behind the scenes’ promo for his song Too Sweet.
I class myself as a photographer and a reluctant videographer. I’ll only shoot video when people expressly ask me to, so here we go. I have a Zoom conversation with video editor friends back home to find out which camera settings to use, and press record.
