Japanese adventurer Gump Suzuki has successfully journeyed from the East Coast of Africa to the Western Cape on foot while pulling his rickshaw.
In a remarkable feat of endurance and cultural exchange, it has taken him just over six months to reach his goal.
As reported by Cape Town Etc.,the 34-year-old has already traversed a number of other continents including Asia, Europe and North America.
His current journey through Africa has seen him travel through countries such as Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. He has won the attention of many on social media, with users glued and eager for regular updates and reflections.

Undoubtedly, Suzuki’s journey has not been one without challenges. In Zambia, he was involved in an accident with a truck. Although this accident left his rickshaw damaged, he repaired it at a local bike shop and remained resilient.
Over the past six months, he has made many unforgettable memories and witnessed the beauty of Africa and its impressive wildlife.
He has also experienced kindness and warm hospitality, with many people displaying generosity and some gladly welcoming him into their homes.
While his journey is filled with adventure, the social media sensation and adventurer also uses his platform to raise awareness about poverty as he reaches out to his followers for donations of food and school supplies for those in need along his route.
Once he has explored and enjoyed the beauty of Cape Town and all it has to offer, he will be heading back to Japan at the end of January.
His journey is all about fun and discovery, with his next adventure being to cross South America with his rickshaw.
