The B.C. Assessment Authority has updated its searchable database, which means homeowners can now see what the value of their home was as of July 1, 2024.

The authority will be releasing full details of property value changes — which help determine your 2025 property taxes — across the province on Jan. 2.
To check your home’s value, go to bcassessment.ca and search under the address.

According to Greater Vancouver Realtors latest market report, the benchmark price for all residential properties in Metro Vancouver was $1,172,100 in November. This is a 0.9 per cent decrease over November 2023 and nearly unchanged compared to October 2024.
In July 2023, the priciest home in B.C. was at 3085 Point Grey Rd., which belongs to Lululemon founder Chip Wilson and was valued at $81,765,000, an increase of 10.4 per cent over the previous year.
According to the updated B.C. Assessment website, as of July 2024, the Wilson mansion was valued at $82,664,000 — an increase of two per cent.
B.C. crooner Michael Bublé’s Burnaby home at 7868 Government Rd. was valued at $27,959,000, compared to $26,318,000 in 2023. An increase of 6.2 per cent.
