Noemie Fox will carry on the family name into the Canoe Slalom KX-1 finals after she blitzed her competition for the quarter-final win, sending her into the semi’s.
The younger sister of Olympic superstar Jess, Noemie took the drop and was locked in a battle with New Zealand’s Luuka Jones.
At the barrel roll, Fox took the right pylon with ease while the rest of the pack was stumped at the left gate.
The world No.11 didn’t let the opportunity slip, with Fox breaking away from the pack early.
Jones was on the chase at the fifth gate, but Fox was too good and slipped away at the sixth, eventually taking the quarterfinal win.
Just the top two would earn spots to move on, and Fox left no room for error with the comfortable win as she is gunning to join her sister in medal glory.
While the Australian was all smiles, her German competitor Ricarda Funk copped a canoe to the face as the pack became congested at the first gate.
The younger Fox will have little time to rest, with the semifinals up at 10.15pm and 10.20pm.
