Beyonce fans are calling John Schneider a racist after he compared her upcoming country-themed album to a dog peeing on a tree.

“The lefties in the entertainment industry just won’t leave any area alone, right? They just have to seize control over every aspect, don’t they?” One America News‘ Alison Steinberg said to Schneider, who initially joined the host on a segment to criticize Travis Kelce landing government money to help finance an independent film.

“They’ve got to make their mark, just like a dog in a dog walk park. You know, every dog has to mark every tree, right? So that’s what’s going on here,” Schneider, 63, replied.
Steinberg spoke about how overzealous Beyonce fans got a U.S. station to reverse its ban on her new tracks Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages after it originally refused to play the songs because it didn’t deem them as country music.

Schneider said that country artists like Shania Twain have managed to crossover and “that’s one thing.” But the Dukes of Hazzard star took a further swipe at Beyonce when he added that musicians who try to go from pop music to country “seem to think it’s easy or simple or not as sophisticated.”

His remarks immediately drew the ire of Beyonce’s Beyhive with dozens of social media users accusing the one-time TV star of being a racist.
“Beyonce can do whatever the f*** she wants to do she doesn’t need your permission John Schneider,” one angry fan wrote, with another dismissing his commentary by adding, “John Schneider was born in New York and moved to Atlanta at the age of 14. Just because he slapped on some Levi’s and pretended to be southern 4 years later for Dukes of Hazzard does NOT make him an expert on what is and isn’t country. He’s a racist jackass is what he is.”
“Country music is one of the MANY genres of music that black people created,” a third person swiped, as a fourth saw the drama unfolding on social media and wondered, “Who’s John Schneider?”

During last week’s Super Bowl, Beyonce announced she’ll release her followup to Renaissance with a disc titled Act II next month.
“This ain’t Texas,” she could be heard crooning over finger-picked guitars. “Ain’t no hold ’em/ So lay our cards down, down, down, down.” The clip then cut to a black screen that read “Act II, 3.29.”
Steinberg reveled in the controversy, retweeting articles covering Schneider’s comments with the caption, “That’s what I call winning.”
But the criticisms have done little to dent Bey’s popularity. Texas Hold ’Em has already landed a spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart last week, marking Beyonce’s first time on the country charts.
Meanwhile, Schneider, who told Steinberg he “knows a little something about country music,” hasn’t had a chart hit in more than 40 years.
