Calgary police are investigating a death at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology after a person was found dead inside the student residences on campus Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to the student residence tower in the 100 block of Dr Carpenter Circle N.W. at around 5:40 p.m.
The death remains undetermined and homicide unit investigators are working to determine whether it could be criminal, police said in a release. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and working to conduct a next-of-kin notification.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner attended the scene Wednesday and an autopsy is being scheduled.
Police said there are no risks to public safety.
