BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Jeyhun
Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met on Friday
with Special Representative for the normalization process between
Türkiye and Armenia, Ambassador Serdar Kılıc, who is on a visit to
the country, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
The discussion revolved around the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace
process, the post-conflict situation in the region, the
negotiations between the Special Representatives for the
normalization process between Türkiye and Armenia, as well as
regional and international security issues.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided insight into the process of
normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The FM drew the
Special Representative’s attention to the current challenges facing
the peace process, the ongoing claims against the territorial
integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in the Constitution of
Armenia, as well as steps threatening regional stability, such as
Armenia’s militarization by third countries.
During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on
bilateral cooperation, interaction within international
organizations, as well as other regional issues of mutual
interest.
