The Kyrgyz Republic has become the latest state to join the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Kyrgyzstan, a landlocked Central Asian nation, has become the IMO’s 176th member state.
The next important gathering at the IMO headquarters in London will be the eighty-first session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) scheduled from March 18 to 22 where the focus will be on developing legally-binding measures to ensure last year’s milestone agreement to phase out greenhouse gases from shipping by 2050 is made possible.
