Members of the Howick RSA are being called to its annual general meeting this Saturday, September 28.
The Howick Returned and Services Association Community Club Inc. is holding the AGM at the Howick Club from 10am.
At the meeting, the members will learn who will be the people serving on the Howick RSA executive committee for the next year.
There will also be a minute’s silence observed for past members that have died since the last AGM.
The executive will then present the RSA’s financial accounts, while there will be presentations and discussion centred on where the members and sub-groups within the organisation will congregate into the future.
In recent times, meetings and gatherings of Howick RSA members have been held at three venues – Bosun’s Bar at the Prospect of Howick / Good Home, at Pakuranga United Rugby Club, and at the Howick War Memorial building in Howick Village, known also as the former Information Centre.
They’ve been meeting at those locations because the property of the Howick RSA’s former headquarters in Wellington Street has been sold.
The AGM meeting will also confirm who the constitutional appointments of patron, honorary solicitor, padre, and auditors will be for the next year.
Time is also allocated on the agenda for general business, awards, and the setting of membership fees.
The Howick RSA Community Club Inc. holds its annual general meeting on September 28, 2024, at the Howick Club, 107 Botany Road, at 10am.
