TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 18. On August 17,
an Uzbek-Afghan business forum was held in Kabul, timed to coincide
with the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Afghanistan, Trend reports.
According to the information, the Minister of Investments,
Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov took part in this
event. The forum was attended by representatives of relevant
ministries and departments, heads of industry associations, as well
as more than 500 representatives of business circles from both
countries.
It is reported that during the forum, promising areas for
developing cooperation were discussed, including expanding the
range of mutually traded goods, strengthening ties between
producers and exporters, intensifying business relations, and
increasing the number of joint business events and visits.
The forum included a Made in Uzbekistan exhibition, the purpose
of which is to increase the volume of mutual trade between
Uzbekistan and Afghanistan to 1 billion US dollars. The exhibition
featured products from 80 major Uzbek companies operating in the
automotive, textile, jewelry, food, electrical, mining and
pharmaceutical industries.
