The Rose of Tralee host underwent a ‘hair restoration procedure’ at the end of 2022.
Dáithí, a brand ambassador for a clinic, has been sharing regular updates on his fresh hairline on Instagram since the procedure, which costs between €4,500 and €10,000.
In the latest edition of Dáithí’s Diaries, he took his followers on a hair transformation journey as he documented how his grey locks have changed over the past year and a half.
The video begins with the RTÉ star showing off his scalp one day after the hair restoration procedure, with the newly implanted grafts on display at the front of his head as they healed.
Improvements could be seen after the one-month mark, but Ó Sé’s new do really began to take shape around six months after the transplant.
Speaking to the camera, he said: “In the last month or so, I’ve noticed that the hairline in front has a beautiful line, a beautiful definition to it.
“It has really filled out as well which is fantastic.”
Three months later, he shared that he was “absolutely delighted” and “looking younger apparently” as he filmed his new hairline coming along nicely.
He revisited the clinic to mark the one-year anniversary of his procedure, telling fans he could see a “big change in one year” and adding that he was “delighted with the results”.
And in his most recent update 18 months after the transplant, he grinned as he said: “As you can see, it looks absolutely fantastic”.
Last year, amid controversy over brand deals struck by RTÉ stars, the national broadcaster banned the 48-year-old from speaking about his hair transplant after chatting to Oliver Callan about his experience on RTÉ Radio 1.
“I was on the understanding that I couldn’t speak about it on my own show. That was fine,” he told The Irish Sun at the time.
“But it was mentioned to me after that I couldn’t talk about it on any other RTÉ platforms either. I told (RTÉ), ‘Yes, if I know the rules, I will stick by them’.”
