House Speaker Mike Johnson is forging ahead with a House vote this weekend to send tens of billions overseas.
The $95 billion bill provides aid to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan and other American allies. Johnson (R-LA) posted on X that the bill would be broken up into separate votes.
“The text of three bills that will fund America’s national security interests and allies in Israel, the Indo-Pacific, and Ukraine,” Johnson reportedly texted to other House members.
A fourth vote will consider making Ukraine aid a loan, a potential nationwide ban on TikTok, new sanctions on Iran, and a measure allowing the President to confiscate Russian assets that have been frozen and use them to fund the Ukrainian war effort.
“We’ve taken the Senate supplemental bill and we’ve improved the process and policy, and that’s a really important thing,” Johnson said. “Every member gets to vote their own conscience.”

Rand Paul Slams Mike Johnson Over Aid Package
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) criticized the foreign aid package on social media. He declares it a “Uniparty” effort that puts “America last.”
“Speaker Johnson and the Uniparty are united behind their laundry list of bad ideas,” he wrote. “From borrowing $95 billion from China to send it to other countries to killing a FISA warrant requirement — they’re ticking all the boxes to put America last.”
Paul broke down the details of the bill in a follow-up post. The bullet points have left many Americans wondering why nobody in Washington seemingly cares. Why do they not care about our own citizens’ inability to afford gas and groceries? The millions of illegal immigrants streaming across our border?
The entire package goes to Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific. The bulk of it – nearly 64% – heads to Ukraine, which has already been the heavy beneficiary of American taxpayer dollars.
“What do Americans get?” Paul subsequently asks of Speaker Mike Johnson’s championed aid package. “Inflation and wide-open borders.”

Biden Is Thrilled
President Biden is practically champing at the bit to get the opportunity to sign the aid package being pushed by Speaker Mike Johnson.
“I strongly support this package to get critical support to Israel and Ukraine, provide desperately needed humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, and bolster security and stability in the Indo-Pacific,” he said.
“I will sign this into law immediately to send a message to the world: We stand with our friends, and we won’t let Iran or Russia succeed.”
The signs are obviously everywhere. Democrats once again seem pleased with a Republican Speaker playing ball to accomplish things that address the needs of foreign nations.
GOP lawmakers evidently have an unhealthy obsession with being seen as bipartisan rather than doing what their voters want.
As Paul says, basically, “What do Americans get?”
Remember when President Trump wanted a few billion to build a border wall to secure America? That amount could easily be tossed into this package. It wouldn’t affect a thing and would still rank as the lowest allocated amount in the bill.
But it’s always, always, always, America last, every other nation first. When will it end?
