A brief shootout occurred between terrorists and security forces on Tuesday morning in Renji forest of Aragam in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora, during which two soldiers sustained soldier injuries. Both of them were taken to the hospital and are said to be stable.
A top police official told ABP that the army was conducting searches in Renji forest’s upper reaches of Bandipora after receiving the inputs of terrorists’ presence. Thereafter, the hiding terrorists fired on the search party, causing two soldiers to sustain minor injuries.
Following the incident, more reinforcements have rushed to the spot and searches for hiding terrorists have been intensified.
